Reminder and modification
Temporary lowering of water level for work at Bryson power station

Hydro-Québec wishes to inform the public that it will have to lower the water level upstream of the Bryson power station for a period of three weeks.

Between September 9 and September 27, the water level will be lowered by 30 cm to 50 cm to allow the safe installation of a temporary wall on the power station’s spillway. This work is part of the infrastructure rehabilitation project.

Hydro-Québec would like to thank the public, emergency services and municipalities for their cooperation and understanding.

Thunderstorms are possible in many parts of Quebec this week.
Follow these tips if you cant take shelter in a building or car:
⚡Avoid sheltering under trees, poles, fences or any equipment that may attract lightning.
⚡Avoid bus shelters or any other open construction.
⚡Refuge in the lowest place you can find, such as a ditch.
⚡Crouch down, rest your head on your knees and cover it with your arms.
⚡Place an insulating material, such as a plastic bag, between you and the ground.
⚡Be prepared to move in the event of flash floods.
⚡If youre in a boat, get back to shore immediately.
Weather can be unpredictable.

Annonce d’un projet de remplacement des barrières de protection du terrain de balle

La Municipalité de Campbell’s Bay a le plaisir d’annoncer que les barrières de protection du terrain de balle seront remplacées. Un financement d’un montant de $72 378 a été accordé par Éducation Québec dans le cadre du Programme d’aide financière aux infrastructures récréatives, sportives et de plein air (PAFIRSPA).

Le terrain de balle est un lieu central pour notre communauté, accueillant de nombreux événements sportifs, tournois et activités récréatives pour les jeunes et les familles. La clôture actuelle, en place depuis 1970, nécessite une mise à niveau pour garantir la sécurité des joueurs et des spectateurs.

Grâce à ce soutien financier, nous pourrons :
– Remplacer la clôture actuelle par une nouvelle structure plus robuste et sécurisée.
– Assurer un environnement sûr et accueillant pour tous les utilisateurs du terrain.
– Améliorer l’esthétique globale du champ de balle.

Ce projet débutera au mois de septembre 2024 et devrait être achevé au printemps prochain

Announcement of a project to replace the protective barriers at the ball field

The Municipality of Campbell’s Bay is pleased to announce that the protective gates at the ball field will be replaced. Funding in the amount of $72,378 has been granted by the Ministère de l’Éducation under the Programme d’aide financière aux infrastructures récréatives, sportives et de plein air (PAFIRSPA).

The ball field is a focal point for our community, hosting numerous sporting events, tournaments and recreational activities for young people and families. The current fencing, in place since 1970, requires upgrading to ensure the safety of players and spectators.

Thanks to this financial support, we will be able to :
– Replace the existing fence with a new, more robust and secure structure.
– Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all users of the field.
– Improve the overall aesthetics of the ballfield.

The project will start in September 2024 and should be completed by next spring.

C’est officiel!!!! 𝗟𝗮 Municipalité de Campbell’s Bay 𝗮 𝗼𝗯𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘂 𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲 𝟳𝟬 𝟬𝟬𝟬$ 𝗱𝘂 Gouvernement du Québec 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲́𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁!

Le financement accordé s’inscrit dans le cadre du volet 1 du programme OASIS, qui découle du Plan pour une économie verte 2030 et dont l’objectif est de soutenir la planification d’actions de verdissement. Ce projet permettra à la Municipalité de verdir son noyau villageois pour répondre à des problématiques d’îlots de chaleur et de précipitations intenses. L’équipe du CREDDO aura le plaisir de coordonner la démarche dès l’automne en collaboration avec la municipalité.
