Inauguration of the Mural Park and Tree Canada Planting Project

On Saturday, August 26th 2017, an inauguration ceremony will be held at the Mural Park. The mural park marks the completion of the first step of the Downtown Parks Improvement plan aimed to encourage the beautification of Front Street.
In this context, we would like to acknowledge the contribution of Tree Canada, the Government of Canada and CN in their support of our tree planting project.
In 2015, the Municipality worked in collaboration with a local committee of volunteers to create a 60 foot mural based on what Front Street looked like in the 1950s. After the mural was installed, the Municipality purchased the adjacent property securing its future as a green space. In 2016, the municipality completed a park development plan in collaboration with Fotenn Planning and Design Company which was presented at a public consultation on June 29th 2016 at the RA Hall. The final drafts of the Downtown Parks Improvement plan were presented to the Community during the Campbell’s Bay Summer Festival on August 27th 2016.

The ceremony will be held at the Mural Park, 100 Front Street in Campbell’s Bay at 9:30am.
